I’m Afnan Bin Bashar (Mishu), originally from Dhaka and now figuring things out from Auckland. I fall for good ideas embarrassingly fast, but unlike most of my crushes, I usually try to build them.
I work across product design, web development, and business analysis, usually somewhere between figuring out what something should be and actually making it work.
A lot of that came from building Skelementor. Designing the product was only one layer. Building it, observing how people actually used it, identifying friction, and iterating on what wasn’t working taught me far more than the design process alone.
And yes, I’ve made enough mistakes along the way, and redesigning a perfectly good portfolio is one of the more recent ones. The old one still looked great, but it didn’t feel like me anymore. So I rebuilt it, regretted it halfway but carried on anyway. Classic me :')
I’m usually running, talking or getting slightly lost somewhere.

Running gives me a little space from screens, deadlines, and whatever has been sitting in my head all day. Usually I come back tired, sweaty, and somehow with a better answer.

There was a time when my stammer made even everyday conversations difficult. Now, give me a topic, hand me a microphone, and get ready for a story. Toastmasters taught me that speaking gets a lot more fun once you stop trying to sound perfect and actually have something to say.

Every now and then, I need somewhere I haven’t seen before. Different streets, different food, a camera nearby, and just enough uncertainty to make the day interesting. Bonus points if the plan goes slightly wrong.
